Our Three Pillars: Self-Others-World

Self

The SELF pillar within the THRIVE Coaching & Mentoring Programme is dedicated to nurture principals, enabling you to lead with authenticity, confidence, and purpose. As you flourish personally, you bring forth your best self in your leadership roles, fostering positive change within your school and the wider educational community.

Others

The OTHER pillar within the THRIVE Programme empowers you to build authentic connections with your team, students, parents, and the wider community. By fostering positive relationships, you elevate your leadership, creating a nurturing environment where everyone thrives.

World

The WORLD pillar inspires principals to be change-makers, positively influencing the educational landscape. As you lead with purpose and unity, you nurture a generation of leaders who will shape the world with resilience and compassion.

Transformational in almost every area of my professional growth.

“I have had the pleasure of working alongside Megan this year in a coaching relationship. It is an arrangement that I can only describe as transformational for me in almost every area of my professional growth.

I had been a principal for 3 ½ years when I began my association with Megan. Although I had managed to keep my head above water during that time, the demands of the job and the lack of professional support meant the sheer weight of the role was starting to seem unsustainable. I felt that I was lurching from one daily crisis to the next, unable to focus on any strategic thinking and planning for my school; bogged down by the day to day aspect, with no time or ability to consider the bigger picture for my kura.

After working with Megan for 6 months I am now much more in control of the demands of the job. The conversations that I have had with her crystallised what was important for me as a principal. From there we were able to create a coherent strategy that enabled me to give priority and value to what was strategically important, while still allowing time for day to tasks as and when they arise.

This clarity would not have happened without the coaching conversations that Megan and I had. Perhaps what is most valuable for me is that these ideas and solutions were all arrived at by examining my own thinking and practice. Megan's coaching over mentoring approach allowed me to come to some major realisations myself, rather than simply being “told” how it was- meaning I have genuine ownership of my current plans, and as a result have stuck to them.”

D.B. Hamilton Region Principal - online coaching with Megan Gallagher

"As a principal in a rural school I was becoming overwhelmed with the workload. The constant need to always be  'on my toes' when dealing with changing parent needs and staffing dynamics within the school was pushing me towards burnout.

I needed to find a wellbeing mentor to help me find work/life balance and rekindle my passion for education.

My journey with Megan Gallagher has been wonderful. Her joy for life, professionalism and insightful guidance has helped me immensely: I now have an increased capacity to manage my personal stress, have organisational systems to manage my workload and have even rediscovered my sense of humour! (much to my husband's relief!)
I highly recommend working with Meg!”
