Exploring Genius Hour
Genius Hour is a movement that allows students to explore their own passions and encourages creativity in the classroom. It provides students a choice in what they learn during a set period of time during school. Following structured guidelines and deadlines, students have autonomy to research, design, create and finally display and share their passion project. Genius Hour provides students with authentic thinking and learning and is a great platform for developing creativity, dispositional thinking and life-long learners.
Karen will step you through the Genius Hour process from start to finish, including the pitfalls to be aware of and the tremendous successes being celebrated around the world.
How does the Webinar (online seminar) work?
Once you have registered and payment is confirmed, you will be sent a link. Simply click on this link 10 minutes before the start time to join the webinar.
You will be required to have a computer linked to the internet and a data projector or interactive board, with speakers so your team can interact with Karen, ask questions and learn from the comfort of your team room or classroom. You will be able to see and hear Karen and see her slides 🙂

How many can participate? Your investment allows all of your teachers to participate on the webinar and this can be done from the comfort of your classroom or team meeting room.
