We have been hosting a Teachers Matter conference two-three times per year (throughout Australasia) since 2006, attended by 10,000+ teachers. These are jam packed with a professional focus of making teaching more effective in the classroom with practical learning strategies and teaching resources, plus a personal focus of teacher wellbeing and welfare.
Join us for the 16th Teachers Matter Conference... focusing on Social & Emotional Learning...
What is Social & Emotional Learning?
Social and emotional learning (SEL) is the process through which children and adults understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.
The need to provide Social & Emotional Learning alongside the academic rigour in our schools is becoming increasingly more important. With the rapid rise of anxiety, depression and stress, working with students to show them practical ways to reduce their stress and increase their resilience, reach their goals, develop empathy and understand their brain, will help set them up to thrive in both school and life.
